The band has also advocated for medical and recreational use of cannabis in the United States.Cypress Hill have made history after becoming the first Latino hip-hop group to receive a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on April 18th 2019. Even though, I personally dislike 90% of Gangsta rap, these guys are exceptions. Really cool beats from DJ Muggs, great flow from B-Real and Sen Dog, and a whole lot of grass-laden lyrics. Hill's trademark sound also inspired later Trip-Hop acts, and also had a huge hit with 'Insane In The Brain' (Classic!).Despite their highly pro-weed lyrics, Cypress Hill are mostly free of some of the re-ocurring cliches in modern mainstream rap such as Bling and Bitches, and talks more about the streets, and also some black humour thrown in the mix.I really think these guys are cool, and I am waiting impatiantly for their next LP!!!
